Welcome to our new blog! This blog will serve as a way for us, Drew and Jeananne Sizemore, to share with you all of the many adventures and experiences that we have together! We'll try to post as often as we can because we want to share with you all the fun we're having.
Our adventure begins on January 24th, the day that Drew returned home from his second (and final) deployment to Afghanistan. After getting off the plane, Drew was led into the terminal at McChord airfield where he turned in his weapon and got a quick safety brief before being bussed down to the gym for the redeployment ceremony. In the gym curtain separated the family members from their soldiers. Everyone waited anxiously while they played a song and gave a speech.
And then the curtain went up.
It didn't take long for us to find each other after the curtain finally went up and we were finally given the opportunity to be with each other. After nine long months, you can imagine the joy at finally being reunited with the person you love. In addition to just the two of us, Drew was also greeted by both his parents, Jeanie's mom and our friends, Egon and Jess Doerr. It was really nice to have the support of our friends and family for this important event in our lives.

After finding each other in the crowd and sharing a moment's embrace, Drew was allowed to find his bag and go home for a few days of much needed rest. Since then, we've been planning out all sorts of cool adventures to go on together. Keep watching for more adventures in the lives of Drew and Jeanie Sizemore!
